The log was wet cut and spalted in brown paper bags The pillow bowl design features an undercut lip and short stalky sides and an overall shape that looks like a small throw pillow. The black lines are naturally occurring from the spalting process. The lines are created by a fungus that meander through the wood. Once turned and finished the spalting is not harmful |
