Style: Mezzaluna Bowl
Wood: Spalted Maple
Size: 12.5″ wide by 4″ high
Description: This bowl was a special order. The owner wanted a bowl that could be used in conjunction with a mezzaluna to chop cabbage for an old family recipe. a thick bowl to withstand years of chopping and a wide base for stability. The spalted maple makes this an heirloom piece.
The black lines are naturally occurring from the spalting process. The lines are created by a fungus that meander through the wood. Once turned and finished the spalting is not harmful.
